You've spent so long on the outside Waiting for someone to let you in I've got to tell you something I think you already know All the pain, all the shame It won't ever go away Till you take the blame But baby sometimes I get a feeling Sometimes I think this feeling's for you Sometimes I get that little feeling I know my heart will be on the line But somehow I don't think you'll follow through You've spent so long being someone Someone you don't even know Man you've gotta start living And stop waiting for tomorrow I've got to tell you something I think you need to hear All those beers, all those tears Won't make this go away Till you face your fears But darlin sometimes I get a little feeling Sometimes I think this feeling's for you Sometimes I get that little feeling I know my heart will be on the line But somehow I don't think you'll follow through What're you gonna do when there's no one here for you to hang on to? Like unknown enemies you and I aren't met to be I can't save you

My feet buried warm in the sand my blue eyes stretched up to the starlit sky sitting on the beach holding my arms tight on this new year's night Well I know what they'd all say "Come on baby, you've gotta find a man one of these days" but lean in close let me tell you something I don't need a man to pave my way So thank you for asking but I'm not lonely Thank you for passing me by oh so slowly But I'm alright on this new year's night I feel the soft orange flicker of flames glowing on the sand just down the way the countdown begins and with a joyful sigh my little heart lays rest to the year gone by on this new year's night on this new year's night Thank you for asking but I'm not lonely Thank you for passing me by oh so slowly But I'm alright on this new year's night

Lela's Story 04:25
Her room is her haven at night she lays staring at the records hanging from the ceiling She closes her eyes and imagines the view from the highest tower sparkling in heaven Lela knows this is how it goes She says remember that girl who used to smile like the endless sun in the summer remember that day the sun went away cause Lela cries now Lela cries She wanders along that yellow brick road lightly tapping her shoes wishing she was home she opens her eyes it hits her hard that blinding sunlight it's almost her time She says remember that girl who used to smile like the endless sun in the summer remember that day the sun went away cause Lela cries now Lela cries

The Winter 03:36
Once upon a time I got lost in your eyes I held your hand and always wanted you by my side then Winter came and turned our hearts to cold I had no choice but to walk away it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to face but we both know we were going insane So I sang Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo... I hit the road not really knowing which way to go with my guitar in the van I wound down the window hoping the cool Summer air would calm my soul It took a damn long time for me to feel ok and over one year later what would you say if you saw me now took off your crown told the truth it's the least you could do Watch me turn around walk away again cause I said all I had to say in the Winter... So I sang Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo...
